The editor of this site is Dr Gordon Brooks, who was the Atlantic Conveyor's Medical Officer for the vessel's brief Falklands campaign.
It was my first appointment as a newly qualified RN doctor, and quite an initiation.
I am grateful to the many who served on board or on nearby ships who have shared their recollections and experiences with me to help shape this account.
